HR Apprenticeship
The Facilities Management Division Apprenticeship Program at the University of Georgia is certified by and registered with the United States Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship Training, as established by the Secretary of Labor. The purpose of the program is to provide comprehensive classroom and on-the-job training in the heating and ventilation, automotive, and carpenter trades to individuals who possess the ability and desire to complete the courses and provide the University with a competent work force in those trade areas. These apprentices have been selected to participate in this inaugural on the job-training program after an intensive search process, and we believe that these apprentices possess the necessary ability and desire to complete the challenging curriculum. For more information on this program, contact Penny Benton, pes@uga.edu at the Facilities Management Division Human Resources.
