Fueling programs

The University of Georgia utilizes the statewide fuel card program administered by WEX Bank for vehicular fuel purchases. The State of Georgia (WEX) Fuel Card is a charge card designed to enable authorized State of Georgia employees to make fuel purchases for vehicles and equipment used for official state business.  The program is governed by Fuel Card Standards and Guidelines (PDF).

Fuel cards are vehicle specific and must be used to fuel only the vehicle for which it was issued.  Authorized drivers must obtain a fuel PIN in order to use the card.  PIN’s are driver specific and should not be shared.  To obtain a PIN, drivers must complete the Fuel card training.

Once the acknowledgement has been completed, drivers should email the completion certificate to FuelPIN@uga.edu along with their 810/811 number or call 706-542-7526.  A member of the UGA fuel management team will respond with an activated PIN.  PIN’s unused for twelve months will be deactivated.
