The Automotive Center ensures vehicles are safe, well maintained, operated in a cost effective manner and in accordance with applicable policy guidelines. With over 150 years of combined automotive experience, the team supports new vehicle delivery, fueling, maintenance, vehicle rental and old vehicle out-processing.
The automotive center, located at 205 Riverbend Road in Athens, is home to the University of Georgia’s fleet management team. The fleet management team is a small group of fleet management professionals, skilled automotive technicians, vehicle rental operations specialists, fuel handlers, repair parts specialists, database administrators and support specialists dedicated to serving the automotive needs of the UGA community. The team works closely with the Georgia Office of Fleet Management to ensure UGA meets the standards establish by the state for vehicle safety, utilization, care and maintenance.
The mission of the automotive center is to support the automotive needs of the UGA community by providing vehicle life cycle management services, including new vehicle in-processing, fueling, maintenance program administration, vehicle rental and old vehicle out-processing.
